1st Annual Book Swap
First Annual Book Swap at The Sewanee Inn
Every great story begins with an idea…
Join us on Sunday, August 9th, from 12:00–2:00 PM for an afternoon celebrating National Book Lovers Day, community, and all things cozy!
Bring a book (or several) to share, browse for your next great read, and spend a relaxing afternoon surrounded by fellow book lovers. We'll have comfortable places to curl up with a good story, instrumental folk music filling the air, local vendors, delicious lunch offerings, and specialty book-inspired drinks crafted just for the occasion.
We're also thrilled to celebrate the ribbon cutting of our very own Little Free Library, handcrafted by our talented maintenance team — a gift to our community that we hope will be enjoyed for years to come!
Book Donations
Donations accepted now through Friday, August 7th.
- Please bring books in good condition to the front desk (no damaged books, please).
- As our thank-you, everyone who donates will receive a coupon for 25% off at Shakerag (valid through December 18, 2026).
There's also book trivia, a fun door prize, local artisans, and sweet treats — plus plenty of opportunities to discover your next favorite read.
Whether you're an avid reader, a casual book lover, or simply looking for a relaxing Sunday afternoon, we'd love to welcome you. Come trade stories, make new friends, and help us write the first chapter of what we hope becomes a beloved annual tradition.
