Enjoy a fantastic experience in scenic surroundings with the Course at Sewanee

Renovated in 2013 by Gil Hanse, Golf Magazine's 2009 Architect of the Year, The Course at Sewanee is a masterful blend of tradition and modern design. While the original routing remains intact, Hanse reimagined nearly every other element, including all nine green complexes, strategic bunkering, and thoughtfully placed alternate tees—all with careful attention to the delicate ecosystem of the Cumberland Plateau.

Tradition and modern design

Standing on the reshaped tee of Hole #5, The Edge, it's easy to see why Hanse was later tapped to design the 2016 Olympic course in Rio and rework the iconic Blue Monster at TPC Doral. Complemented by The Sewanee Inn and a newly added golf lodge, The Course offers an unforgettable experience for players and leisurely strollers alike.
